My kid, for reasons beyond me, likes the restaurant so much she refused to eat anywhere else, today.
You can't explain a yelp beef to a 9 year old kid, so we went.
The staff was courteous, amicable, and my kid's cheeseburger was well made.
I guess it's important to give second chances.
The fries were soggy. -

We tried this place for dinner after searching on yelp for hamburgers. They have one other customer when we came in, but that changed after about half an hour. Plenty of families started coming in for dinner. The place has a few booths and tables. It is clean and so is the restroom.
We tried side of onion rings. Good. 10 small rings. They gave us 2 ranch. My husband and I both ordered combos, which include a drink and fries. I had the patty melt. It is like pictured: white bread not rye, onion, tomato, lettuce, mayo, avocado, and 2 patties and cheese. Not traditional but I enjoyed it. We also asked for yellow peppers. The husband had the San Joaquin. It is a cheeseburger with pastrami. He said too much bread and pastrami was bland. He would rather get a regular dbl cheeseburger. The fries were awesome. Crinkle cut, crispy fries with seasoning salt, yum!
Overall, we will come again because place is clean, good service, and plenty of choices. The shakes and other desserts seemed popular. I think I'd like to try one with Chile fries next time. -

Looking for a good burger or treat in a sort of sketchy 'hood? You've come to the right place!
Just kidding (sort of). Stopped here for dinner while road tripping through CA. The restaurant is housed in a shopping center that's questionable in appearance. It didn't feel unsafe, exactly, though I did semi worry the rental car might get broken into. They had a TV playing old westerns at an ear-shattering volume. One woman brought in her incredibly dirty toddler and Chihuahua puppy. Do I sound like a snob yet?
On to the positives. It is maybe a mile off the highway. All employees were incredibly friendly. It was clean enough inside. Prices were reasonable at $5ish for burgers and sandwiches, $2-3 for apps and sides, and $3ish for shakes and other treats. If I lived nearby that would be my reason for returning. Everyone but me got a milkshake, and they were all so chuffed. I did taste a bit of a Reese's shake, and it was nice and thick, and stuffed with candy. They just use regular soft serve, but that's fine. Oh, and their large cups are borderline mammoth in size, so you will probably be satisfied with a small (either drink or shake).
Regarding the actual food, I dined here with my in-laws who both ordered cheesesteaks, and this was possibly their favorite meal of the entire trip, or at least a top one. I had the small grilled chicken salad. It was just iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, grilled (warm) chicken and pickles, but it was fine. The pickles were a surprisingly tasty addition, and for a small, it was generous.
A completely adequate spot. I can look beyond all the negatives except that horrid TV. -

The Burger Joint is definitely good stuff, so good in fact that each time I have visited I have been guilty of not taking any pictures of our food.
The Burger Joint is located on a corner of a busy street; however, I never come during lunch hours, so I have never encountered the lunch rush. Every time I have come to visit, it was really slow and usually in the evening. The place doesn't look spectacular and it's not a fancy place, but the tables look clean and the staff is okay.
The setup kinda reminds me of a Foster Freeze or something similar, with tons of fried goodness, but what makes the Burger Joint stand out for me is the way they put their burgers together. The burgers are always freshly made, it's always nicely put together and they don't short you. The prices are really good for the size of the burgers.
The burgers are definitely the star here and I love that crispy bite that comes from the bread when they warm it up on the flat grill, but their carne asada fries and the pastrami fries are also yummy. I also love this place since this is one of the places that make their jalapeño poppers w cheese. I'm not a big fan of the cream cheese and jalapeño popper, so this is definitely a big plus for me. They also do tons of options for ice creams like sundaes, on the cone, milk shakes, blizzards and other good stuff for all the sweet tooth lovers. -

Ordered the Hot Cheeto Burrito just because I wanted to be fat for a day and it looked good
Service was pretty quick but when they called out my number the lady didn't say "thank you" after handing me my meal which is practically mandatory to tell a customer after spending money at that said location ...then she goes off to get on her phone
When I opened the Burrito it wasn't even wrapped correctly (one half was basically split open) They also didn't put condiments in the bag like a lime or 2
Worst of all the main thing ,the big feature that made that Burrito what it is "hot cheetos burrito" had some stale ol hot cheetos
To end it all I'd probably go back to try it again but as of now I wouldn't.... they have good prices though
